Desert Sun Performing Arts comprises Maricopa’s premiere dance academy and the city’s only ballet company. Under choreographer Ceylan Gentilella , DSPA Artistic Director and Founder the studio has developed into a nationally recognized school with noted faculty offering a well-rounded curriculum and presenting main-stage performances several times a year. Its curriculum includes an array of programs designed to fit every age group and type of dance – Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary Lyrical, Hip hop, Clogging, Theatre and more. Director Gentilella notes “The power of dance is undeniable. The beauty and grace it nurtures is unmistakable. The strength and confidence it instills is irreversible. Now that I am the dance teacher, I strive everyday to inspire my dancers, push them and teach them values such as perseverance, honesty,
